![]() ![]() All the other SS Fender 4 strings I can find specs on are 1.5" vs the 1.65" (42mm) width on the Vista MusicMaster. I'll post installation photos after the Zero Glide is installed.ītw, oddly these Squier Vista series MusicMasters are the only short scale Fender produced bass that have the Precision Bass nut width afaik. And I can always shave the tuner side of the G string slot if needed. but that will probably be negated because of the string tree. Anymore, with the Bronco (and now the CV Mustang Bass), I think that price is pretty high. The squiers are well regarded compared to the Fender MMB because the pickup is nicer and the matching headstock. The treble side end height of the Zero Glide might be a tad low. That’s the only musicmaster bass reissue, other than that you’d have to buy a vintage one which have gotten really expensive lately. The Zero Glide nut is 2.5mm thick and the stock nut is 2.9mm as is the nut slot on the neck. string gauges (I'll be using a set of Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats short scale set, so no slot filing anticipated) Key measurements of the stock nut with a digital caliper match the Zero Glide specs.
